Deep cleaning? What does it mean?

Deep cleaning? What does it mean? Deep cleaning is the process of retrieving your storage space by deleting files that you think are unnecessary, keeping only what you need, such as files, photos, videos or data that are unnecessarily clogging the storage on your smartphone.

There are about 8 simple ways to recover and reuse your smartphone's storage, and there are about 8 ways to fix it with Deep Cleaning, you can quickly see what these 8 methods do. Make sure your data is backed up once you do these steps. To do this click on Settings> Backup & reset> Back up my data.

1. Identify the largest storage occupied space

First, find out where most of the storage is used on your smartphone. Like laptops, smartphones use a solid-state drive for storage, and the study concludes that increasing this drive will reduce performance. Click Settings> Storage and locate the storage space.

Secure Offline and Online Backup On almost everyone's phone, Photos would have taken up a huge amount of space. We cannot easily delete photos. So either back up these to cloud storage or back up to your computer or laptop via USB. Don't forget that USB Backup is a traditional and secure offline wired backup method.

2. Free up space Easy

This 'Free Up Space Easy' is the only way to download, delete frequently used applications and delete photos and videos. Go to Settings> Storage and click Free up space. Based on the data you do not need, the data you do not use much will be shown here, in which you can easily delete the data you do not need.

3. Do other types of applications and files take up space?

Click Settings> Apps and notifications> Show all apps to find out how much space games, music apps, movies or TV apps take up. You can recover large amounts of storage by deleting apps you don't use much. Click Play Store> top-left menu> My apps & games to find the most used apps, select the Last used option and delete.

4. Music and podcast storage

Click Play Music> Settings> Downloading> Manage downloads to find out how much music and podcast apps fill up on your smartphone storage. Similarly, to delete music and podcast files, select Music Library> Songs and manually delete song by song (or podcast episode) and delete.

5. How to select and delete photos?

Deleting screenshots, WhatsApp pictures, videos and gifs, Instagram pictures, and other image files created in your various applications as a folder will save your time and storage. Check the folders and copy only what you need to another location, delete the other folder, and expand the storage space.
